An Annual Tradition and Review…

…It was that time of year again to spray the car with the hose, elbow grease in full swing with the bucket of soap, clay bar and wax. It was that time of the year for the 8th annual REVscene.net Spring Meet at Spanish Banks. This event I’ve been attending 8 years in a row and have not missed a single meet. This, by far, is the most exciting meet for me each year as it gives all car enthusiasts an opportunity to bring out their beloved cars and bikes to show off to the general public and to be proud of their achievements. This year, as a moderator, I attended the event from start to finish which includes set up, crowd control, contest and prizes, and of course, clean up. Yay…

I showed up with my dear Felicia this year. Last year, I showed up in the Cress as Felicia was hibernating for the season and failing AirCare constantly. Prior to that, it was Pamela, my first MR2 and first car that I owned. I was hoping to take Caroline out however, the moment I stepped outside of my house, looked up at the dark grey sky, I said to myself, “No way man….” And besides, I think taking Felicia out was a good idea. She’s good looking, a lot of fun, and very popular amongst the boys. :) I was glad to have taken her out for a stroll. The weather was picture perfect - blue sky, the shining sun, the Vancouver people out and about jogging along the beach, windows down, music cranked…it was an awesome and glorious day for Felicia

The meet overall was okay at most. This years cars lacked in quality and quantity. I think NorthWestNissans had their annual meet on the same day unfortunately. I like the Nissan crowd made up of the 180sx, 240sx, 300zx, Silvias, Fairlady Zs, 350s and Datsun 510s. Let’s not forget the holier-than-thou Skylines (which I’m not a fan of.) Not many Civics came out this year and no special Integras nor S2000s. Too bad. I miss the old scene of when we were younger. All the ricers with flashy lights, pounding subwoofers, and bleed-your-ears-out fart-can exhausts. Regardless, I think that Mike (orgasm_donor) did an excellent and awesome job in coordinating this entire event on his own from arranging the venue, informing the VPD and RCMP and gathering prizes, it turned out to be an awesome event. A big thanks to Mike!

Whilst the spring is fresh and new, a whole new year is before us which I look forward to, especially the summer. The late night cruises with the t-tops off, wash’n'wax sesssions, and midnight drives with Felicia around this beautiful city we live in. I’m hoping to get Audrey on the road by the end of the year but we’ve got a long way to go. It’s going to be an awesome year with my girls. I can’t wait. :)

Felicia looking all shiny and pretty! :D

Check out that ass! ;)

P.S. - Jerry aka Rev - His MR2 is NOT a Garage Queen! :p
