Star Alliance Airport Lounge Review

Hey again,

Thought I’d do a review on airport lounges offered at airports. I have a membership to the Maple Leaf Lounge on all Air Canada flights and wherever they fly to including the United Airlines Red Carpet Club and the Lufthansa Senators Business Lounge in Germany.

I’ve only been to three so far and that would be Vancouver – YVR, Los Angeles – LAX, and San Francisco – SFO.

At the Maple Leaf Lounges, there are snacks like salads, breads, cookies, chips, soups, antipesto, cereals, soft drinks, self-serve alcohol (Air Canada lounges only) showers, business facilities etc.

I managed to take only two photos of the Vancouver lounge only because it was busy in the morning and I didn’t want to piss anybody off.

Vancouver YVR Maple Leaf Lounge

Nice chairs to relax before your flight!

The Vancouver lounge is a lot bigger and very nice but again, I didn’t take as many pictures as I wanted to because I didn’t want to cross anybody.

San Francisco SFO UA Red Carpet Club

This was a very nice lounge offererd by United Airlines. Very posh and classic American style type of lounge catered to the business and executive traveller. Their food offerings aren’t too bad however, alcohol is not free as opposed to the AC MLLs.

Definately a nicer and bigger lounge. The seats were very comfy and nice and overall, very quiet. Very spacious as compared to the YVR lounge. I won’t bother with the lounge in Los Angeles because it’s a freakin’ dump. They only offer cheese and crackers and the lounge is very small and ugly. I hate it there. LAX is on my top hated airport list. :X

I’m going to be in Toronto Pearson Airport, Montreal, Frankfurt, Dresden and Prague in a week or two so stay tuned for more photos! :)
